Juice of 1 lemon
Confectioners’ sugar ½ tsp
Vodka 2 oz
Orange slice garnish
Maraschino cherry garnish
Preparation:
Pour the lemon juice, whiskey, and sugar into an ice-filled mixing glass. Shake and strain into an ice-filled sour glass. Add garnishes and serve.
Variation: To make Whiskey Sour substitute Whiskey for Vodka. To make an Amaretto Sour substitute Amaretto for Whiskey. To make Rum substitute Rum for Whiskey. To make Tequila, or Gin Sours, substitute for their spirits.
